Kevin W. Sheff of Annapolis, MD passed away Sunday June 28th, 2026, at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born on July 15th, 1952, in Alton Illinois, Kevin was the son of Clarence and Darlene Sheff and brother to the late Vickie Hensler of Florissant, Mo.

Kevin was drafted into the US Army in 1972 and retired at the rank of Sargeant First Class after 20 years of active-duty service. Kevin then began his 20-year civil servant career in 1995 as an Industrial Hygienist with the US Army Public Health Command, where he served as Project Management Team Leader and retired in 2015. After retiring from civil service, Kevin worked with the Defense Logistics Agency for 10 years as a Child Care Facility Construction Consultant and retired in 2025.

Kevin’s most treasured accomplishments were his marriage of almost 52 years to his wife, Pamela, his 3 daughters Ginger Bell (Billy) of Clinton, NC, Jenifer Campbell of New Bern, NC and Katy Milanovich (Gabriel Worden) of Stevensville, MD as well as his 8 grand children and 10 great grandchildren. Kevin’s children and grandchildren held a very important place in his heart, and whenever he spoke of them, he always spoke with pride and immense love.

While Kevin was proud of his 50 years helping others through his careers with the Army, his passions were vast. Kevin enjoyed traveling, with his favorite destination being Germany, where he lived during a portion of his time in the Army. Kevin often dreamed of living in Germany during his retirement and recently traveled there in April 2026 with his family. He also enjoyed traveling to Italy and Korea, which his careers with the Army allowed him to do often. Kevin loved learning and history, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in European history from the University of Maryland. Kevin was known amongst his family and friends as a very intelligent and intellectual person, being able to help you with almost anything. Mechanic, builder, historian, weatherman, plumber; Kevin could do almost anything and was always the go-to person his family and friends could depend on, no matter what they needed. Kevin was an active member at Anne Arundel Fish and Game, The American Legion and The Elks. He was a certified NRA instructor, enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, camping, trains and model trains and live sporting events including the Baltimore Orioles and his grandson’s youth sports. Kevin was known for his homemade tomato sauce and French onion soup, which he proudly made for family and friends. Kevin was an avid reader and enjoyed classic rock and classical music.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, his great granddaughter Addalynn and great-grandson Ryker and his son in law and best friend, Larry Milanovich.

Kevin’s legacy is one of selflessness, dedication to his family and friends, serving his country, and living life with integrity. His passing leaves an immeasurable void for those he left behind, but his legacy and spirit will live on in those who knew and loved him. His smile, generosity and devotion to his country and family will never be forgotten.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday July 11, 2026 from 1:00pm-3:00pm with a memorial service to follow at 3:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care,P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD 21146.
