Kevin M. Nichols died suddenly on August 21, 2017. He was born on April 12, 1982 in Annapolis, the son of Robert and Deborah (Colleran) Nichols. He attended Severna Park schools and was a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park majoring in Psychology. Kevin completed all classes towards a Masters degree in Counseling at Towson University and received a Masters degree in Organizational Development from Capella University.

Kevin is survived by his parents Robert and Deborah (Colleran) Nichols of Severna Park; his sister Megan (Nichols) Creel and her husband Jesse Creel of Pasadena and by his brother Brian Nichols and his wife Alexandra (Mavris) Nichols of Severna Park. He is survived by his Aunt Kathleen Colleran and her late husband Chuck Nossick of Severna Park; his Aunt Brenda (Nichols) Berry and her husband Dick Berry of Beverly MA; by his late Aunt Juli Nichols of Waltham MA; and by his uncle Stephen Nichols and his wife Patty (Clark) Nichols of Tannerville PA. Kevin had a loving niece Cali Creel and two loving nephews Charlie Creel and Tucker Nichols. Kevin shared many happy times with his surviving cousins David and Nicole Berry and Josh, Danielle and Sean Nichols. Finally Kevin is survived by his faithful, loyal dog Gus.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 1pm in Our Lady of the Fields Roman Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Ave., Millersville MD 21108. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, Kevin's family wishes that you consider donations to the Out of the Darkness Walk in Columbia MD on Sunday October 8th under Kevin's team name "WWDD?" (What Would Dave Do) in reference to his favorite band the Dave Matthews Band. Kevin's family will be walking in his memory to help bring awareness to the demons of severe depression.
