Kevin M. Guthrie of Baltimore, MD passed away in a tragic accident on January 1, 2019.
Kevin was born November 14, 1971 in Alexandria, VA. He was the third child of Tom and Martha Guthrie. Kevin graduated from Broadneck High School where he was an outstanding athlete. He wrestled and was an All-County Baseball Player and MVP his senior season. He also played for Legion Post # 175 in Severna Park. He graduated from Lynchburg College with a Degree in Communications. While at Lynchburg in ROTC, Kevin attended and graduated from the U.S. Army Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia. A subsequent arm injury prevented further military service.
Kevin spent the majority of his life working as a sales manager in the Trucking Industry where he was most successful.
Kevin was an outgoing man who was liked and well thought of by his many friends and associates. A huge Red Sox fan he knew every statistic past and present. He also has a competitive spirit and enjoyed contests of any kind and was very good at most.
He will be missed by his family and fiancée Jessica Wilkins. Words cannot express the loss that is felt by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Martha Guthrie of Annapolis, MD; his fiancée, Jessica Wilkins of Baltimore; sister, Bonnie Jean Guthrie of Annapolis, MD; brother, Col. (RET) Thomas P. Guthrie (Kim) of Kansas City, KS; niece, Merrin Guthrie of Kansas City, KS; and nephew, Thomas F. Guthrie of 2nd Ranger Battalion Ft. Lewis, WA.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, January, 7, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew by the Bay Church, 701 College Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21409. Interment will be in Mount Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury, MA.
