Kenneth L. Torjussen, 88, of Arnold, died of natural causes Nov. 23 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mr. Torjussen was born Jan. 5, 1916, and raised in Norway. He lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., for 28 years and then in Ramsey, N.J., for 22 years before moving to Arnold 26 years ago. He was a captain for an oil tanker company.
He enjoyed reading and studying the Bible, camping, traveling, cooking and spending time with family.
Surviving are his wife, Greta E. Torjussen; three children, Louise Buoncristino of Annapolis, Robert P. Torjussen of Northeast Marietta, Ga., and Ellen Marie Fernandez of Arnold; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. tomorrow at Gloria Dei! Lutheran Church, 461 College Parkway, Arnold. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.barrancofuneralhome.com.
