Kenneth R. Crowley, 78, a longtime resident of Severna Park, MD passed away peacefully on January 18, 2017 at Hospice of the Chesapeake after a 7-month battle with lung cancer.

He was born September 15, 1938 in Providence, Rhode Island to Kenneth and Mary Crowley.

He attended University of Rhode Island and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering in 1961. At the University of Rhode Island, he met his beloved wife, Betty Crowley (Hazard), and they married in 1963. Upon graduation, he served in the Army Corp of Engineers at Fort Knox, Kentucky. After his military service, he furthered his education at Lehigh University earning a Master's of Business Administration in 1969. He went on to have a successful career in the health care industry and retired in 2001.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty; one daughter, Patricia Davis (Chris) of Severna Park, two sons, Kenneth Crowley (Carolee) of Grand Cayman Islands, and Kevin Crowley (Beth) of Severna Park; his sister Patricia Rossignoli of Cumberland, RI; and seven grandchildren, Steven, Spencer, Scott, Kiersten, Drew, Abby and Ryan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a long time parishioner and usher at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and was an active member of the Severna Park Elks. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending many happy years vacationing with his friends on Hog Island.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, in Severna Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 10:00 am in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment to follow in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
