Kathryn Marie Offutt (Kate) age 28 passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Kate’s beautiful smile and bright eyes will be remembered by everyone who knew her. Despite being diagnosed with Rett syndrome at 18 months of age, Kate lived life to her fullest potential. She was a ray of sunshine and an inspiration to all who knew her. Kate enjoyed many different activities but she most loved just being with people and interacting with them.

Kate is survived by her loving parents Kim and Bill Offutt, cherished brother Scott, grandmother Helen Drexel, aunts and uncles Dale and John Offutt, Joanne and Mike Gales, Leah and Joe Offutt, and Jean Smith, cousins Natalie and Renee Gales, Luke Offutt, and Nicholas and Leah Underwood. Kate is also survived by a large loving extended family and friends. Kate was preceded in death by her grandparents Joan and Bill Offutt and Neal Drexel, cousin Jake Offutt and many other dear family members.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday August 16, 2026 from 2:00pm-4:00pm & 6:00pm-8:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday August 17, 2026 at 11:00am at Our Lady of the Fields Roman Catholic Church 1070 Cecil Ave S, Millersville, MD 21108. Interment will be private.
