Kathryn Jean Kibler, 90, died peacefully in Richmond, VA on January 18, 2021. She was born on September 13, 1930 in Baltimore to Felix and Leona Jasper. In 1953 she married Louis L. Kibler "Roy" and in 1956 they moved to Anne Arundel county. She has been a resident of Severna Park and Arnold ever since.

Jean was a successful real estate agent and worked for several different companies in Severna Park and Annapolis. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and spending time in Rehoboth Beach. She inspired her family and many friends with her resilience, strength and desire to enjoy each day. She was not afraid to speak her mind. Jean was a long-time member of College Parkway Baptist Church. Her focus for the church was missions. She served for many years as a leader of the food pantry. She cherished her church family and established many deep friendships, especially Jim and Sue Petro. In 2019 Jean moved to Spring Arbor Assisted Living in Severna Park. Her family thanks the staff there for helping her thrive, make new friends and keep a sharp mind.

Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Roy and her oldest son Louis Kibler. She is survived by two children, Mark (Dana) Kibler of Richmond, VA and Kathy (Mark) Johnson of Deerwood, MN;  daughter-in-law, Jan Kibler; six grandchildren, Kristen Fisher, Jennifer Meyers, Ryan Herriges, Michael Kibler, and Courtney and Brooke Johnson; four great-grandchildren; and sister Erna Ashton. She is also survived by the best neighbors and friends anyone could ever hope for, John and PJ Gilbert and family.
