Kathryn B. DeMatteis, 81, of Annapolis, died of Alzheimer's Disease Aug. 6 at Future Care Chesapeake in Arnold after a seven-year illness.
Mrs. DeMatteis was born Oct. 30, 1922, in Penn Yan, N.Y., where she was reared.
She worked as a secretary for General Dynamics from 1975 to 1980 and the City of Rochester, N.Y. from 1980 to 1984.
A member of St. Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church, she enjoyed golf, swimming and reading.
She was the mother of the late Elliot P. DeMatteis.
Surviving are her husband, Henry DeMatteis; two brothers, Rocky Luppino of Honduras and Dominick Luppino of Mechanicsville, Md.; and one sister, Lena Farnelli of Richmond, Va.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church, 701 College Parkway in Annapolis. Burial will be private.
