Kathryn M. Casparis, 92, a resident of Annapolis, died of complications from surgery Feb. 8 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mrs. Casparis was born July 19, 1915, in Troy, Ohio. She lived in Sanibel, Fla., for 15 years and in Naples, Fla., for 24 years, and moved to Annapolis two years ago.
She retired from owning and operating Blind Pass Cottages in Sanibel.
Mrs. Casparis was Miami County Republican Chairwoman and was also on Board of Election.
She enjoyed politics and her church and doing volunteer work.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morrison Orr Casparis.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia J. Winston of Annapolis; two brothers, George R. McConnell of Naples and Robert W. McConnell of Temple, Texas; one grandson; and one great-grandson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Trinity by the Cove Episcopal Church in Naples. Interment is private. Arrangements are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.
