Kathryn Jean Calimer, 56, of Severna Park, MD, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 after battling ovarian cancer for 17 months. Kathy was born on May 20, 1957, to the late Vernon & Mary Hollidge in Hyattsville, MD. Kathy married Ray Calimer on June 14, 1986 in Severna Park, MD where they raised two beautiful daughters, Kristen (25) and Lindsay (23). Kathy worked for the State of MD Income Tax Division for 12 years from 1976  to 1988. She began working at Asbury Christian Preschool in 1996 to 2014 and dearly loved the children. They made her a wonderful quilt after Kathy became ill, which meant so much to her. Kathy enjoyed watching her daughter, Lindsay swim and was very involved and active in Lindsay's swim team community. Kathy spent a lot of time with her grandchildren and was always thinking about them. She enjoyed shopping trips with her oldest daughter, Kristen. Kathy was loved and cherished by all of her family and friends.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 28 years, Ray Calimer; her daughters Kristen & Lindsay Calimer; her 3 precious grandchildren, Deakon (6), Kamdyn (10 months) and Luke (1); her brother Vernon R Hollidge Jr of Round Hill, VA and sister Peggy A Bliek of Lake Lure, NC; and her dachshund, Lily.

A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday May 6, 2014 at 11:00am in the St. John Roman Catholic Church 689 Ritchie Highway Severna Park, MD 21146 where Kathy was a member.
