Kathleen Veronica Freenock Fontaine, 81, of Arnold, MD died May 31, 2019.  "Kitty", as she was known to family and friends, was born April 9, 1938 in South Fork, PA, where she spent her childhood and graduated high school.  On August 27, 1966, she married Thomas L. Fontaine of Providence, RI.  Tom and Kitty settled in Prince George's County, MD where they raised two sons, Thomas (1970) and Christopher (1973).  Kitty spent most of her career at the Washington Gas Company, from which she retired in 2000, the same year as the birth of her first grandchild.

Kitty is survived by her husband of 53 years, Tom; two sons, Thomas L. Fontaine Jr. (Nicole) and Christopher L. Fontaine (Megan), five grandchildren, Mary Elle, Lauren, William, Farrah and Holden as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

A Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday June 9, 2019 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm in the Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday June 10, 2019 at 10:00am in the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church 689 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Kathleen Fontaine to the St. Vincent De Paul Society of Baltimore, a non-profit organization that provides food, clothing, housing, education, employment and other services to low-income families/individuals.
