Kathleen Mayer Smith (94) of Annapolis, MD passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on May 4, 2025.

Kathleen was born in Baltimore and raised in Arbutus, MD where she first met Charles, her husband of 70 years. She and Charles raised 5 children whom she cherished. A graduate of Villa Julie as a medical secretary, she managed Charles' dental practice for many years.

She is preceded in death by her siblings William Mayer, Anna Mayer, and Margaret Raith.

She is survived by her loving husband and their children: Charles Smith III (Sandy) of Durham, NH, Michael Smith of Arnold, MD, John Smith (Martha) of Millersville, MD, Kathleen Griffith (Tom) of Mt. Airy, MD, Patricia Park(Craig) of Ashburn, VA, as well as 9 grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, May 11, 2025 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, 12, 2025 at 11 am in Our Lady of the Fields Roman Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Ave S, Millersville, MD 21108.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake as they were a wonderful source of knowledge and comfort to the family.
