Kathleen "Kay" Scally, 79, a resident of Arnold, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2018, at FutureCare in Arnold.

She was born on March 18, 1939 in Dublin, Ireland, where she was raised, and attended school at Holy Cross High School. She left Ireland in 1965 and joined Gerard in San Francisco where they got married and started a family. The family then moved to Lincoln, NE before residing in Arnold, MD.

Kathleen enjoyed helping the residents and staff at Genesis in Severna Park. She loved to travel, especially to Ireland, Hawaii and California; enjoyed gardening; Irish dancing; and loved spending time with her grandchildren and visiting family and friends in Ireland. She treasured her last trip to Ireland in 2015 to visit family for Christmas in Fitzpatrick's Castle in Dublin, Ireland.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gerard Scally of Arnold, MD; two daughters, Sharon Weiss (Steven) of San Diego, CA and Debbie Woodin (Spencer) of Stevensville, MD; two grandchildren, Noah Weiss and Mackenzie Woodin; and two sisters, Marie Kealy of Dublin, Ireland and Annie Ashcroft of Lancashire, England.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10:30 am in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment will be private.
