Kathleen "Kerry" Fitzpatrick (nee Finnegan), 97, a resident of Severna Park, passed away in her sleep on September 27th, 2016 at Household of Angels Assisted Living.

She was born on November 26, 1918 in Brooklyn, New York, to parents Mary and Thomas Finnegan and raised in Queens, New York. She had an older brother, John, and a younger brother, Thomas. Kerry attended P.S. 109 and then Jamaica High School in Queens, New York, where she played basketball.

Kerry met her husband Joseph Thomas Fitzpatrick at a party and then they were married on November 30th, 1946. They were married for 52 years. Kerry and Joe were avid golfers and also loved visiting the beaches of New York. They were very active in their retirement community, Leisure Village, in Ridge, New York, and never missed a party. Kerry was an active member of the Leisure Village Golf League, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and the local Republican Club.

Kerry was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, and also her husband, Joseph Thomas Fitzpatrick, who passed away in 1999. She is survived by daughter Eileen England and husband John, daughter Maureen Burbach and husband Paul, daughter Patricia Wezwick and husband Joe, and daughter Kathleen; nine grandchildren, Adrienne, Matthew, Shaun, Kerry, Jacqueline, Johanna, Colleen, Joseph, and Rory; and seven great grandchildren, Mason, Brody, Carter, Hayden, Gavin, Beau, and Faith.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday September 29, 2016 from 4-7:00pm at the Barranco & Sons, P.A Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Friday September 30, 2016 at 1:00pm in the St. John Roman Catholic Church 689 Ritchie hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146.
