Kathleen Alois Sullivan Dean, 72, of Arnold, previously of Richmond, Virginia, passed away on Jan. 8, 2018. Wife of the late Franklin Dean, she is survived by her sons, Robert Dean, (Katie); Thomas Dean, (Carrie); her daughter, Suzanne Dean, (David); her grandsons, Max, Bogdan, Thomas, Wyatt, and Jack Dean; her granddaughters Anna and Oksana Dean; and her brother, Douglas Sullivan. Kathleen was born in Floral Park, New York. She graduated from Douglas Freeman High School in Richmond, and attended Averett University. She worked for several prestigious Maryland law firms before marrying in Richmond in 1973. Over the years, she was an active member in the PTA and her church, and volunteered for local youth sports. She had many interests, including cooking, entertaining, travel, sign language, and history, and a great love of family. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Barranco & Sons Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park MD 21146, with viewing from 10 to 11am. Interment will be private.
