Katherine Elizabeth Rogers, at the amazing age of 107, passed away on June 16, 2013 at Cranberry Cottage in Pasadena, MD.

Katherine was born to Caroline and Salvatore Fiore on March 10, 1906 in Washington, DC. Her parents were first generation immigrants from Sicily. She graduated from Saint Patrick's Academy in 1924 in Washington, DC and later worked as a secretary for the National Geographic. Katherine loved to read, garden and feed her family her amazing Italian cuisine.

She is predeceased by her husband Bernard Rogers; her five siblings: Augustine, Clara, Rose, Beatrice and Charlie; and her granddaughter Christina McKay. Katherine was known by her loved one as "Katzy" and in her later years, once a beloved grandmother, "Memom".

Katzy is survived by her children; her daughter Mary Willey, her son Pat Rogers and his wife Virginia Rogers. Also surviving are her 5 grandchildren; Susan Andrews, Kristy Scheffenacker, Erin Fiore, Bryan Rogers and his wife Chris and Doug Rogers and his wife Sharon; and her 9 great grandchildren; Alisha Truelove, Shannon McKay and her husband Ryan, Sean Rogers, Justin Rogers and his wife Carrie, Brandon Rogers, Kennedy Rogers, Jack Rogers, Christian Andrews and Ajahni Marley.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday June 22, 2013 at 11:00am in the Barranco & Sons,P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. Interemnt in the Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
