Katherine Elizabeth Coleman passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022 at her home in Severna Park, Maryland. She was born October 23, 1926 in Washington, D.C., the youngest of twelve children born to Philipp and Anna Pfaff.

Katherine married Charles G. Coleman, Jr., in 1949 and settled in Falls Church, Virginia, where they raised three children. Active in her church community, Katherine also assisted in many ministries both independently and alongside of her husband. After their children reached adulthood, Katherine pursued a degree in nursing, receiving her LPN. She enjoyed many successful years in the field of geriatric nursing. Katherine and Charles moved to Bowie, MD in their later years to be closer to family. Charles passed away in 2010. Katherine later moved to Sunrise Senior Living in Severna Park, where she has lived since 2013.

She is survived by her three children, Linda, Steven and Rebecca and by daughter-in-law Julie Zine Coleman and son-in-law Harold Neil, by her grandchildren Adam, Daniel, Melanie and Joseph Coleman, and Will Neil and Linda Donton, and by her great-grandchildren Jonathan, Stephen, James, Abigail, Addison, and Joseph Coleman, Owen and Ethan Neil, and Madison, Olive and Brynn Donton.

A memorial service and celebration of life will take place at New Hope Chapel, 804 Windsor Road, Arnold, Maryland, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022.
