June L. Fowler (nee Griffith), 91, passed away on October 27, 2015, at her home in Severna Park.
She was born on January 10, 1924 in Washington D.C., where she was raised, graduated from high school, and became a secretary for the U.S. Army. June lived in the Severna Park area for about 15 years.
June was a member of the Community Methodist Church of Crofton, and she enjoyed spending time with her family, reading scriptures, and devotionals.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Elwood Fowler and her daughter, Sharen Lynn Ward.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in law, Susan and Bill Gay; son-in-law, Douglas Ward; her grandsons, Brian Gay (Chrissy) and Chuck Gay (Jenny); and 5 great-granddaughters.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:00 am. Private interment in MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society,1041 Rt 3 N, Building A, Gambrills, MD 21054.
