Julia Wells

Julia E. Wilson Wells, 78, of Severna Park, died of cancer March 4 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born in Crownsville on Aug. 6, 1928, Mrs. Wells graduated from Annapolis High School in 1945. She was married for 58 years to her husband, Cecil F. Wells, now a retired Navy chief petty officer. She accompanied him on most of his Navy assignments, and was active in various educational, charitable and church-related activities.

A homemaker, she was an active member of Severna Park United Methodist Church and an affiliated member of Faith United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, Pa.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Pamela D. Henry of Severna Park; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Michael D. and Patricia D. Wells.

Services and burial are private. Arrangements are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.
