Julia Ann Kenney passed away on December 4, 2022 in Harrisburg, PA. She was born on July 3, 1938 to William and Velma Kerns in Greensboro, MD. Ann, as she was known to her friends and family, grew up in Greensboro and married her high school sweetheart Robert (Bob) Kenney in 1959. Ann and Bob moved to Arnold, Maryland and raised their family there. After Bob's passing, Ann moved to Hanover, PA and finally to Harrisburg. While her children were young, she worked as a substitute teacher at Belvedere Elementary School in Arnold, and then later in jewelry sales at Sears in Annapolis. Ann enjoyed singing in choirs, crafting, camping and traveling, and spending time with her beloved family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Robert Cecil Kenney; her daughter, Susan Dean Kenney; her grandson Aidan Kenney; her two sisters, Betty Grosz and Dink Gleeson; and her brothers-in-law, Al Grosz and Bob Gleeson. She is survived by her children, Annie Kenney O'Connor of Hanover, PA, and Robert Dan (Brigid) Kenney of Mechanicsville, MD; her brothers-in-law Kenneth (Kathy) Kenney of Annapolis, MD, and Mike Kenney of Denton, MD; her 5 grandchildren, Justin O'Connor (Cheree), Robert O'Connor (Christina) , Philip O'Connor, Ashton Kenney Wagner (Steven), and Jesse Dean; 9 great-grandchildren, Landon, Logan, Derek, Wesley, Lily, Jack, Cade, Jameson, and Jonah; and 9 nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 12-2pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD, 21146. A funeral service will be held at 2pm at the funeral home. Interment is private.
