Judith "Judy" K. Walters, 67, of Ellicott City, died at Gilchrist Hospice in Columbia on April 17, 2012 after a brief illness with lung cancer.
Judy was born to her late parents William and Dolores Patten on July 16, 1944 in Baltimore, MD and raised in Severna Park, where she lived for 57 years. She attended Severna Park High School and was a graduate of the Class of 1962. She was employed as an Accounting Associate with Prudential Preferred Properties for 13 years and then as a Billing Clerk for Aerotek for five years.
Judy was an avid Ravens fan who enjoyed doing puzzles, gardening, playing games on her iPad, spending time with her family and returning home to the Severn Heights Community in Severna Park to admire the water and wildlife.
Mrs. Walters was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Walters who died in 1991 and her brother, Carroll J. Patten. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Drew & Sharon Walters of Eldersburg; her daughter, Carol L. Walters of Ellicott City; her sister, Linda Wiseman of Cordova, MD; and her three grandchildren, Devin, Rachael, and Shelby Walters.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 19th from 6-8 p.m. at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 12:30 p.m. with the interment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn.
