Our dear mother, Judith B. Stevens, formerly Bogarty, sadly passed away at the age of 83 on Saturday, April 1, 2023 surrounded by family. She had many friends and was a well-loved member of the Cedar Lane Senior Community in Leonardtown, MD.

Judy was born December 18, 1939 in Baltimore, MD and was raised along with her two brothers, Timothy (Timmy) Bogarty and Lawrence (Larry) Bogardy and wife Sheila, by her mother and father, Theodore (Ted) and Constance (Connie) Bogarty.

Preceding Judy in death was her brother, Timothy Bogarty and former husband Leonard (Wayne) Stevens Judy was the proud mother of 3 children: Christopher (Chris) Stevens, Constance (Connie) Canfield and husband Edward, Craig Stevens and wife Lisa. She was the biggest fan and supporter of her grandchildren: Michael Stevens, Matthew Stevens, Luke Stevens, Taylor DeVille, Annamarie Stevens and Ian Canfield. She lives on in them and her great-grandchildren Bentley Beckhart, Declan Stevens and brand-new baby girl Isla Karen Stevens.

Judy was known for her easy laugh, the twinkle in her eyes and infectious smile, her deep love of family, cooking, birds, and her passion for progressive politics. She never lost her sense of humor or stubbornness. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and friend and was always there when we needed her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10th 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care (495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 10th 2023 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
