On May 7, 2022 after an 18 month battle with lung cancer, Joyce Carol Brewer (Kierce), of Annapolis, MD, 64, has passed away.

Joyce was born to Irene Sandra Kierce (Karchella) and Raymond Thomas Kierce on March 4, 1958 in Jersey City, NJ. Joyce was raised in Matawan, NJ where she met and married her husband Richard Harper Brewer on August 30, 1980. Joyce and Rick came to Maryland in 1980 while Rick served in the Navy. Joyce enjoyed friends and family, traveling always looking for her "new favorite place", camping, the beach, and most of all the Church.

Joyce is survived by her husband, her son Jonathan Kierce Brewer, his wife Rachel Karen Brewer and grandson Rhett Taylor Brewer of Annapolis, Also her son David Taylor Brewer and his partner Ellen Rachel Forsyth of Annapolis. She is also survived by her sisters Penelope Marzec, her husband Ricard Marzec of Lincroft, NJ and Bonnie Lombardi, her husband Robert Lombardi of Simsbury, CT and her sister in law Martha Centeno of Clemson, SC. She is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews

Joyce is predeceased by her parents, her son Patrick James Brewer, her brother Robert Jansen Kierce, and her sister Christine Margaret Kierce.

Family and friends may visit on Monday May 16, 2022 from 3:00pm-5:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A celebration of Life will be held on Monday May 16, 2022 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at St Andrew by the Bay 701 College Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21409. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday May 17, 2022 at 11:00am at St. Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church.

A private burial will take place directly after the funeral at MD Veterans Cemetery.
