Joseph Henry Welch, age 61, of Millersville, MD died on May 6, 2010 at Knollwood Manor Nursing Home, 899 Cecil Ave., Millersville, MD 21108, where he resided for the past 14 years.

Joe was born on October 8, 1948, in Baltimore, MD to the late Henry G. Welch and Angela L. (nee Wineke) Welch Barranger. He is survived by his two sisters, Mary Angela Zerhusen and Gemma C. Wright, their husbands, Anthony F. Zerhusen and James Wright, Jr.; two nieces, Angela L. Mason, Kathleen G. Nelson, two nephews, Anthony M. Zerhusen, Kenneth J. Albrecht; six great-nieces and three great-nephews. Joe graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School, and attended Salisbury State College, and Towson State.

There will not be a visitation. Arrangements handled by Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home. A 10:00 AM Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Avenue, Millersville, MD 21108, 410-987-1551. Burial will be private.
