Striegel

Joseph G. Striegel, 91, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., died Nov. 3 at his part-time home in Millersville.
Born Oct. 30, 1916, in Baltimore, Mr. Striegel retired from the former Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, where he was an engineer. He was also the owner of Atlantic Valve and Supply Co., a family-run business that he operated from 1967 until his retirement.
An avid golfer, he was a member of the Chartwell Golf and Country Club and St. Lucie West Country Club, as well as the Elks in Annapolis and Port St. Lucie.
Mr. Striegel was also a supporter of Hospice of the Chesapeake, donating 111 acres of land in Deale to the organization.
He was married to Elizabeth C. "Betty" Striegel, who died Jan. 4, 1999. He was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are five children, Betty Upton of Millersville, Loretta Manger of Linthicum, J. Robert Striegel of Annapolis, Marcia L. Morgan of Glen Burnie and Scott E. Striegel of Laurel; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge
