Joseph Clifford Lund, Sr., 77, a resident of Severna Park, passed away on February 7, 2018 at Sunrise Assisted Living.

"Cliff" was born on December 16, 1940 and raised in Baltimore, MD.

He and his wife Mary moved to Reisterstown, MD, where they raised both of their children.  In 2000, Cliff and Mary made Severna Park their forever home.

Cliff began his career in 1964 with Baltimore County Police Department as a police officer.  He was promoted to detective and later moved to the Bomb Squad.

After 23 years, Cliff retired and began a second career as an ATF Agent.  As an Explosives Enforcement Officer, Cliff participated on the National Response Team and testified all over the country as an expert witness.  Cliff was also a past president of I.B.T.I., a retired member of the Air Force Reserves after a 20-year service, and a member of both the F.O.P. and the American Legion.

Cliff enjoyed making jewelry and was an avid collector of military memorabilia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lund, who passed away in 2016.

Cliff is survived by his son, Joseph C. Lund, Jr. (Sue) of Arnold;  his daughter, Elizabeth DiPietro (Philip)of Severna Park; brother, Paul Lund, Sr. (Kathie) of Annapolis, sister, Mary Ellen Kitchen (Ron) of Pasadena; and four grandchildren, Brittany Lund, Kelly Lund, Anna DiPietro, and Joseph DiPietro.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, in Severna Park. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 11AM at the funeral home.
