Joseph H. LaMore, Sr., 76, of Millersville, MD passed away peacefully at his home on March 9, 2018.

Joseph was born on May 31, 1941 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Following graduation from Haverhill High School, he earned an Electrical Engineering Degree from University of Massachusetts-Lowell and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.  Upon graduation from college, Joseph was hired by Owens-Illinois/Graham Packaging, where he remained for 45 years, progressing from an Engineer to a Plant & Regional Manager.  Joseph, a life-long athlete, lettered in both Baseball & Basketball in college, and also played high-school football.

Joseph and his family moved from Texas to Maryland in 1978.  He loved cycling, golfing, swimming, vacationing at Bethany Beach and was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Church.  He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Constance LaMore; his daughter, Denise LaMore of Millersville, MD; his son, Joseph H. LaMore, Jr. (wife Sherri) of Millersville, MD; his daughter Suzanne LaMore of Bradenton, FL; his son David LaMore (wife Kimberly) of Vienna, VA; and his five grandchildren, Joseph H. LaMore, III, Valerie  LaMore, James LaMore, Colby LaMore and Connor LaMore; and his brother Richard LaMore (wife Barbara) of Stoughton, MA.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Barranco and Sons Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 10:30am at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD. The interment will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 W Central Ave, Davidsonville, MD 21035.
