Joseph M. Hunter, 91, a resident of Severna Park, MD died on December 15, 2013 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie.

He was born on February 27, 1922 in Baltimore, MD and moved to Linstead on the Severn in 1958.
Joseph served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a Purchasing Agent for the State of Maryland, was a member of the Lions Club, and was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.

He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and crabbing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Warner Hunter and his daughter-in-law, Sallie Hunter.

He is survived by his son, Bruce Hunter of Fairmont, WV; two daughters, Patricia Hunter Williams (Dick) of Millersville and Beth Hunter Harrington of Berlin; eight grandchildren, Sara Hunter Kimble, Kari Hunter Drennen, Will J. Hunter, Holly Hunter Gooss, Ashley Williams Earle, Christopher Williams, Kathryn Harrington Acevedo, and Robert J. Harrington; and twenty-one great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park.
