Joseph John Farrell, 75, of Millersville, died of heart failure Feb. 10 at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore.

Mr. Farrell was born Dec. 30, 1931, and reared in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Millersville since 1998. He worked as a foreman for the New York City Department of Sanitation.

A model train collector, he was a member of the TCC Train Collectors Club and enjoyed restoring antique automobiles.

His wife, Annette P. Farrell, died in 1991. He was the brother of the late Thomas F., John and Francis Farrell and Margaret Fox.

Surviving are his wife of nine years, Shirley Rothage; two sons, Thomas Joseph Farrell of Millersvlle and Robert Farrell of Middletown, N.Y.; one daughter, Roseanne Komack of Manalapan, N.J.; and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 tonight and from 10 a.m. to noon tomorrow followed by funeral services at noon at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. Burial will be at a later date in Pinelawn Cemetery in Farmingdale, N.Y.
