Joseph (Joe) David Anderson, 35 of Severna Park, MD, formerly of Annapolis, MD died April 28, 2015 surrounded by family after a short but severe illness. Joe was born on May 5, 1979 in Guatemala City, Guatemala and adopted by Terry and Bitsy Anderson 2 months later.

Joe graduated from Archbishop Spalding High School in 1997. Joe was an accomplished Chef and enjoyed sharing his love of cooking with others, especially his nieces and nephews. Joe loved the out of doors be it the beach, mountains, camping or on his bike. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Joe was passionate about food, music, poetry and couldn't resist a good practical joke. Joe approached life with kindness, loyalty, and an adventurous spirit.

Joe is survived by his parents, Terry and Bitsy Anderson; sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Andy Sughrue, their children Connor, Caitlin, and Maggie; sister and brother-in-law, Kristen and Jeff Cullen, their children Mackenzie and Nate; and former wife Jennifer Knight Anderson.


Friends are invited to celebrate Joe's life from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Sunday, May 3rd at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, May 4th, 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Fields, 1070 Cecil Ave. S., Millersville, MD 21108. A reception will follow in the church hall.
