Ricky was born on January 1, 1954 to his parents, John and Betty Whitaker.
He was raised in Glen Burnie, MD. Ricky was especially close with his mother, Betty.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ernie (Steve) Whitaker and his parents, John and Betty Whitaker.
He is survived by his sister, Ginger Binder of Leesburg, FL and her son, Jason Binder (Tracy); four great nieces and great nephews, Samuel, Abby, Lily and Mary; his uncle, Dan Whitaker (Marlene) and his four children; and Ernie's daughter Danielle.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 from 10:30am to 12:30pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD, 21146. Reverend Lee will be holding a service on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 12:30pm at the funeral home. Burial is to follow at Holly Hills Memorial Park, 10201 Bird River Road, Middle River, MD, 21220.
