John Wesner IV
John Alfred Wesner IV, 52, of Upper Marlboro, died of heart failure Dec. 12 at Southern Maryland Hospital Center after a brief illness.
Mr. Wesner was born July 18, 1955 at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Okla., and was raised in Silver Spring. He has lived in Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Hawaii and Texas, and has lived in Upper Marlboro for the past 15 years.
He worked for the Federal Reserve for 14 years as a network manager.
An avid science fiction reader, he enjoyed playing Dungeon and Dragons and any new technology. He collected Radko ornaments, and enjoyed specialty cheeses and his cats.
Survivors include his parents, John Alfred Wesner III of Carlisle, Pa. and Thelma Basham of Severna Park; and two sisters, Valerie Wesner of Severna Park and Adrienne Wesner of Englewood, Fla.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park.
Interment is private.
