John T. von Kadich, age 86, passed away peacefully in his home in Maryland on June 17, 2023.  John was born in Rochester, New York to Gertrude Lyon and John H. von Kadich on May 31, 1937. He was married to Patricia in Arlington, Virginia.

John was a retired Army veteran, achieving the rank of CW3. While in the Army, John graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and eventually received a Master's Degree from St. Louis University in Computer Sciences.  When John retired from the Army, he worked as a computer sciences technologist for the Department of Defense.

John loved life and was a devoted family man. He was an active member of his bowling community, all things Veterans related, and any activity involving all his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

John is survived by his daughter Julie, son John, step son Steve, and three other step children. Bailey, Sean, Brendan, Avery, and Devyn are among his twelve grandchildren.

A private ceremony with military honors will be held at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. John will be interred with his late wife, Patricia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the K9s For Warriors Organization .
