On December 8, 2022, John Martin Tice beloved husband of 61 years to Bodil ("Bo") Skogeng Tice; devoted father of Susan Elizabeth Helmrath and Michael John Tice; father-in-law of Christopher Helmrath; cherished grandfather of Matthew and his wife Anna, Benjamin and his wife Ashley, and Ashley Helmrath, Landon, Griffin, Dalton and Trysten Tice; dear great grandfather of Johnathan and Olivia Helmrath; devoted brother of Harry Tice.

John grew up in Ferndale, Maryland and after serving in the Army during the Korean War, he graduated from the University of Baltimore in 1961.  He retired from the Sun Oil Company in 1991 after a 30 year career.  John was a member of the Severna Park Methodist Church and was a member of the Glen Burnie Masonic Lodge and the Boumi Temple.

John and Bo were avid travelers, having been to many countries and taking over 170 cruises on Royal Caribbean.  John enjoyed researching and investing in the stock market and meticulously caring for his lawn. But above all he enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday December 15, 2022 from 3-5 and 7-9pm at Barranco Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park MD, 21146. His service will be held the following day, Friday December 16, 2022 at 10am at Barranco Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
