John Lincoln Spencer, Jr., of Annapolis, passed away at his home on January 24, 2022. He was born on February 10, 1946 to John Lincoln Spencer, Sr. and Charlotte Spencer in Long Beach, California. He was raised in long beach and has lived in Cambridge, MA, Bedford, MA, and Severna Park, MD before coming to Annapolis. John attended Suitland High School in Maryland and then Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA where he was a member of Theta Delta Chi and MIT Chapter. He worked as a computer software engineer for DISC/DISCUS Software, Inc. before his retirement. John enjoyed computers, science, space exploration, history and tennis. He was a doting husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by his wife whom he met when they were 14 years old, Barbara L. Spencer; his children C. Alice Spencer-Knell (David) of Arnold, MD, and John Lincoln Spencer III of NYC, NY; and his beloved grandchildren Christopher W. Knell of Arnold, MD, Liz Spencer Knell of Arnold, MD, Jake Spencer of NYC, NY, and Sean Spencer of NYC, NY.
