John Jeffrey Petrakis, of Glen Burnie, passed away on May 25, 2021 at North Arundel Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on March 12, 1963 to John George and Jacqueline C. Petrakis in Maryland. He was raised in Severna Park and attended Oak Hill Elementary, Severna Park Junior High, and later Severna Park High School. He worked for Peridot and enjoyed watching football. He was a diehard Ravens fan.

He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Petrakis of Glen Burnie, MD; as well as his grandchildren, Alexandra Homa, Katara Coates, Calleigh Coates, and Freddie Coates, all of Glen Burnie, MD; his brother, Michael Chaney; and his sister, Robin Helwig.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 2:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD, 21146.
