John J. O'Neil, 87, a resident of Arnold, passed away on June 21, 2015 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis.
He was born on February 21, 1928 in Massachusetts and had lived in Arnold since 1969.
John served in the U.S. Army during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired as a Colonel in the U.S. Army and had a Captain License for the U.S. Coast Guard.
He was a member of the Elks and the American Legion. He enjoyed boating and was a Ham Operator-N3BYL.
John is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sandra O'Neil of Arnold, and his son, John J. O'Neil, Jr. of Arnold.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be followed in Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge.
