John Howard (Nick) Wiseman, Sr., 80, passed away on December 13, 2011 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis.
He was born on May 13, 1931 in Arnold, MD to the late Joseph A. and Dorothea E. (Friedrich) Wiseman. He attended St. Mary's Elementary and Annapolis High School and later served in the U.S. Army from 1954 until 1956, when he was honorably discharged. He operated heavy equipment until 1963, after which, he became a Builder and Remodeler. He did work for 27 years for Admiral Cleaners
Mr. Wiseman was preceded in death by his brothers, the late Fred, Lawrence, and George, Sr., as well as, his sister, Helen Saia.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ruth M. (Fillmann) Wiseman; his daughter, Ruth M. Trovato of Easton; his sons, John H. Wiseman, Jr. of Ellicott City and Jeffrey H. Wiseman of Severna Park; his brother, William Wiseman of Arnold; and his five grandchildren, Gregory Trovato Adams of Baltimore, Elizabeth Trovato Adams of Chicago, and Darren, Allyson and Kelsey Wiseman of Arnold; as well as, two great granddaughters, Sophia and Angeleigh of Baltimore.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00am at the funeral home with the interment to follow at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery in Arnold.
