Dr. John Mills Martin, 74, a resident of Severna Park, died from heart failure, on February 3, 2010, at his home.

He was born on June 17, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland, and was raised in Severna Park. He lived in Catonsville for 10 years and Severna Park for the past 64 years.

He attended Boy's Latin School, Severn School, University of Maryland, and University of Maryland Dental School. He was a dentist for 35 years.

Mr. Martin served in the Army Reserves, was a member of Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church in Severna Park, and the Westridge Association. He enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by his late parents, John S. Martin and Eunice M. Martin.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Ada Elizabeth Martin (Bigler) of Severna Park; his daughters, Jeanne Alexander of Stevensville, MD and Jennifer Kenny of Severna Park, MD; and his grandchildren, Ben and Kaylie Alexander and Jake Kenny.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, 611 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd in Severna Park. Interment will be private. Arrangements made by Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home.
