John Lyle Kallenbach, 72, of Pasadena, died of prostate cancer May 23 at North Arundel Hospital after a 10-year illness.
Mr. Kallenbach was born Oct. 2, 1931, in Niagara, Wis., and was raised in Wisconsin and Alabama. He served in the Army from 1952 to 1955.
He was a civilian employee with the Department of Defense, retiring in 1991. In 2001 he retired again after working as a defense contractor with Analytical Systems Engineering Corp.
Surviving are his wife, Rose Kallenbach; one daughter, Kathi Lynn Ebaugh of Pasadena; one son, John Lyle Kallenbach of Glen Burnie; three sisters, Delores Abba and May Lou Rae of Wisconsin and Ellen Hatchett of Alabama; one brother, William Kallenbach of Alabama; and three grandchildren. He was the brother of the late James Kallenbach.
Visitation is from 7 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5829 Ritchie Highway, Brooklyn.
