March 31, 1922-August 24, 2014 Age: 92
On Sunday, August 24, 2014 John Bradley Habercam of Severna Park, devoted father of John M. Habercam, James W. Habercam, and Robert B. Habercam, loving grandfather of Courtney, Aleigh, Alex, Gregory, Dusty and Doug, great-grandfather of Reid Caughy, Emma and Cole Vancaster, and Douglas, Brian, and Kyle Remaley, passed away peacefully after a long illness with Parkinson's Disease. He was predeceased by his wife of over 60 years, Haven June Habercam.
John graduated from "Poly" High School and attended the University of Maryland.
He was born in Baltimore, Maryland to John Henry Habercam and Mildred Bradley Habercam and lived in Baltimore until 1956 at which time he built a home and moved his family to the community of Olde Severna Park where he lived until 2014. He worked as an estimator for Maryland Shipbuilding and Drydock. He also built up a sizable rental business of houses in Baltimore City.
John loved sailing and skillfully built, from a kit, a South Coast 22.
He was very proud of "his boys" and all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, August 29th from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park, with a Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Annapolis.
