John E. Fish (Jack), 88, a longtime resident of Round Bay in Severna Park, died at his home on August 18, 2012.
Jack was born to his parents, Earl and Thelma Ostendorf Fish in Baltimore, MD on October 17, 1923 in Baltimore, MD where he was raised.
He graduated from Mount St. Joseph and Loyola College. He was the vice president of Vermont Federal Savings & Loan for 30 years, and then retired. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII in Italy. He married Patricia Judge on October 4, 1947.
Jack was a member of St. Johns Church, the Vincent de Paul Society, the Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion. In addition, he served as a Pastoral Home Visitor and assisted the Missionaries of Charity in Baltimore since their inception.
He is survived by his wife of 65years, Patricia Judge Fish, of Severna Park; his children, Bill Fish of McDaniel, MD, Jerry Fish of Severna Park, Taylor Leahy Judge of Savannah, GA, Karyl Spatcher of Colorado, Michael Fish of Severna Park; his brother, James Fish of Florida; his sister, Mary L. Fish of Baltimore, as well as, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Bunny Fish and his son, John Earl Fish, Jr.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. Friends are invited to meet on Friday at 12:30 pm at the Barranco & Sons Funeral Home to process to the Maryland Veteran Cemetery in Crownsville for a 1 pm military burial service.
