John "Jack" C. Marsteller, 81, resident of Severna Park passed away on May 4, 2014.

He was born on September 22, 1932 in Maryland to Irving and Selma Marsteller.

After graduating from Glen Burnie High School, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was a "Jack" of many trades. He first owned an excavating company followed by a motel in both Ocean City, MD and Fort Lauderdale, FL. He then owned Pool World of Maryland, located in Millersville. Finally building and operating Camelot on the Bay, a motel in Key Largo, FL.

Jack had a passion for many outdoor activities. He loved boating, fishing and crabbing, and loved hunting with his Dad and Uncles. He also enjoyed golfing.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife Jayne, sister Joyce and husband Ronald Zimmerman. His children Jackie and husband Greg Gosewisch, Laurie and husband David Straley, and Scott Marsteller. Grandchildren Sean, Brian, Dustin, Carmen, and Brittnay.

Also, his step children Liz and husband Joe Bacon, Pam and husband Fred Rex, Sally and husband Mike Stevens, John and wife Alix Rickloff and Tom and wife Marcy Rickloff. Step grandchildren, Michael, Paul, Brian, Eric, Lindsey, Georgia, Anna, Thomas, and Matt. Great granddaughter Sophia.

Friends and Family may visit on Thursday May 8 from 5-7 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park.

A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, May 17th at 1:00pm.
