John G. Bailey, 87, a resident of Pasadena, died on April 25, 2011 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie.
He was born on August 1, 1923 in Baltimore, MD, where he was raised, and he served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Bailey worked with the B & O Railroad until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion Post 40 in Glen Burnie, was active with his church, and was President of the Men's Club at Pasadena United Methodist Church. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anne D. Bailey of Pasadena and was loved by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 11:00 am at Pasadena United Methodist Church, 61 Ritchie Hwy, Pasadena, MD. Interment will be on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 10:00 am at MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
