GARBER, SR. , Joel R. JOEL RICH GARBER, SR., died on August 8, 2007 at the Calvert County Nursing Center in Prince Frederick, MD. A long-time resident of both Towson and Severna Park, he moved to Port Republic, MD in 2006. Joel was the beloved husband of the late Frances L. Garber. Joel is survived by his children: Douglas Garber of Park, TX; Joann McCabe of Baltimore, MD; Cindy Garber of Hollywood, FL; Joel R. Garber, Jr. of Severna Park, MD; his step-children Jayne Roxey of Port Republic, MD; Mary Jo Hendrick of Arnold, MD; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Frances L. Garber; the mother of his children Jill S. Garber; and his step-children Stuart Armiger; Sallie Hunter and William Armiger. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 18 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Barranco & Sons Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park. Joel and Frances will be buried together at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville on Monday August 20 at 11:30 A.M.
