Joan Evelyn Rzepkowski, 78, a lifelong resident of Pasadena, died at her home on November 27, 2011 after a brief illness.
She was born to her parents William and Gladys Smith on April 20, 1933 in Baltimore, MD. Raised in Brooklyn, MD, she graduated from Southern High School in Baltimore and was an admissions specialist in the Emergency Room at North Arundel Hospital for 27 years. Mrs. Rzepkowski was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Severna Park. She loved reading, gardening, music and spending time with her family.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Rzepkowski; her daughter, Patricia Lynn Reid; her brother, William Smith, Jr.; and her sister, Dorothy Badart. She is survived by her children, Daniel John Rzepkowski of Bishopville, Ellen Ann Rice of Ellicott City, Kathleen Carol Rzepkowski of Brandywine, Thomas Edward Rzepkowski of Severna Park, Barbara Jean Lloyd of Hagerstown, and John Michael Rzepkowski of Alexandria, VA; her sister, Shirley Quaskey of Brooklyn Park, MD; as well as, 14 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, 3755 St. Paul Street Ellicott City, MD 21043, with the interment to follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Baltimore.
