Joan McGeehan

Joan Elizabeth McGeehan, 73, a resident of Severna Park for 42 years, died of natural causes April 27 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

Mrs. McGeehan was born Dec. 19, 1934, in Baltimore to the late Charles and Thelma Kassakatis.

She was a member of Severna Park Ladies Bowling League and a volunteer at Partners in Care.

She was an avid gardener and enjoyed going to yard sales.

She is survived by her ex-husband, Richard McGeehan of Ellicott City; one daughter, Karen McGeehan of Ellicott City; two sons, Rick Reilly of Stockton, N.J., and Mark McGeehan of Annapolis; and one grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one daughter Cindy McGeehan.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Loudon Park Cemetery in Baltimore. On line condolences may be made at www.barrancofuneralhome.com .
