Joan ("Joanie") Marion Lloyd

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, died May 2, 2014 at her home in Pasadena, Maryland. Joan is survived by her daughter Dawn Marie Leaf, and cousins, Marion Silcox, Christine "Gail" Nutter, Claire Paddy, Tammy Russell and families.

Joan was well known for her friendly and outgoing personality, fun-loving spirit, generosity and kindness.   This extended to her work – she served for over thirty years as a customer service representative at the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company, a subsidiary of the Exelon Corporation and Maryland's largest gas and electric utility. Joan was much loved and will be greatly missed by her friends and family.  Joan grew up as a "Cozy Corner" girl in the city, where she met her true love of decades, Edward Lloyd.

Friends may visit on Tuesday May 6, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8:00 pm at the Barranco & Sons, P.A Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7 where Joan will be buried alongside  Ed in the Cedar Hill Cemetery 5829 Ritchie Hwy. Baltimore, MD 21225. Immediately after the service, an informal reception for friends and family will be held at the Cafe Mezzanotte, 760 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146.
