Joan Carol Ford completed her life Journey on December 17, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

Joan was born in Baltimore, MD on March 21, 1939 to Robert Briggeman and Ruth Rebecca Barham.
She leaves behind sister Lois King and Donna Korneluk, and brother Richard Briggeman.

In Dec. 1959 Joan met the love of her life, Thomas Francis Ford, Jr. What a love story their life together was. They started their own family business Best Security Systems in 1971. She was an amazing mother to Paula Murphy, Robert Daniel Ford, Debra Hooper and Melvin Ford. "Nan" as she was called by her grandchildren, James, Sheehan and Michael Murphy, Katie Codd, Zachary and Elizabeth Ford, James and Thomas Hooper.

Joan was also a great grandmother to Summer Hooper, Brayden and Julian Morgan and our most recent little angel Irelyn Murphy. We were hoping "Nan" would be here to meet Miss Lily Mae due on Jan. 10, 2015.
Mom was someone who genuinely cared about people. She had a gentle, loving way about her. She will be so deeply missed by us all.
A Celebration of her life is planned as following:

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 1-4 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be in Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens in Baltimore.
