Our precious mother Joan Mary Elliott, 81, entered Heaven's gates on June 30, 2022 at home in the loving care of her family.

Joan was born to her parents, Frank and Margaret Kallas on July 09, 1940 in Annapolis, Maryland, where she was raised. She graduated from Annapolis High School in June 1958. During high school Joan met the love of her life, her husband Robert William Elliott, and she went on to be married to him for 60 years while raising her 3 children and taking care of the home. Later in her life Joan went on to work for Grauls in Cape Saint Claire for over 10 years.

Joan devoted her life to raising her children and loved spending time with her extended family! She was truly the ultimate family woman! Joan was a phenomenal cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, most especially over the holidays. She was raised on the water and spent a lot of her time with her family and friends boating, water skiing, crabbing, and fishing. Joan enjoyed playing cards, doing cross word puzzles, and was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan, watching every game, even the preseason ones. Spending time at the beach was also her sanctuary.

She is survived by her 2 sisters, Patsy Miller and Debbie Dunnington (husband Larry); 3 children, daughters Nancy Lynn Dixon (husband Allan) and Katherine Ann Elliott and son Robert Frank Elliott; 9 grandchildren Paul, Ryan, Christopher, Robbie, Brandon, Joanie, Gina, Zachary and Justin; and 3 great grandchildren Kayla, Bryce and Blake, with 2 more on the way.

Joan never wanted to be the center of attention, so her services will be private for immediate family members only. Friends wishing to honor Joan are invited to make a donation in her name to Hospice of the Chesapeake.
